Mountain Pidan, the Shkotovsky Municipal District
Mount Livadiyskaya, a part of the Livadiysky Range mountain system of Sikhote-Alin, reaches 1333 meters and it is one of the highest peaks in the South of Primorye.
Pidan is its unofficial, but the most common old name, presumably of Chinese origin, formed by components: pi (“great”) and dan (“cliff”), meaning "Large Rocks". There is a myth that in the language of Jurchens the name means "the Stones, put by God". This is the name of the mountain due to the rock glaciers covering a considerable area of slopes as well as the top. According to another version, the name of mountain is Slavic; it was introduced by the first settlers and is derived from a family name of Pidan which is spread in Ukraine. There is an assumption that Pidan used to be called Horchur, an old Russian name meaning "boundary mountain" which had been given to it by pioneers represented by Orthodox Old Believers.
There are many legends about Pidan. You can find stone slabs laid in a special way and resembling fragments of defensive walls or places of worship on the slopes. Stone dolmens also occur here. According to a legend, the mountain was sacred to the priests of the Bohai state which overlapped with the Southern Primorye.
Petrov Island, the Lazovsky Municipal District
Petrov Island is a unique place in the Pacific Ocean. The main point of interest of the island is a yew grove planted by the ancient inhabitants about a thousand years ago. The canopy of the grove is so thick that the sun never touches the ground of the island. Anywhere, wherever you turn, you see the same thing: three tees in a line. It is believed that this pattern repeats writing of the ancient character for "tree". Taxus cuspidate, the spreading yew, is a relic of the Tertiary period and one of rare species of Russia.
In addition, Petrov Island gives you an opportunity to get acquainted with the different forest formations – rhododendron, juniper, here is the largest specimen on the planet Liana Actinidia, about 300 kinds of vascular plants, and virtually all of them have peak age for their species.

The canyon through which flows the Amur bears a very imaginative name too - the Jaws of the Devil. It is a spot of a rare beauty, where the river lays between dark cliffs of 200 meters high. Snow and ice last until mid-June in the canyon.
Early 21st century, the Kema-Amginsky National Park was planned to be founded in the Terneisky District and a trail was paved to the waterfall in the framework of the respective arrangements. Travelers visiting this unusual and amazing place now use it.
