Acting Vice-Governor of Primorsky Krai Alexander Kostenko discussed with the management of CP Foods prospects for investment cooperation in agriculture on Tuesday, April 23.
Vice President of CP Foods Thailand Pavalit Oa-Amornwanit noted that the main purpose of the visit to the Far East is to collect information on the most promising areas in the field of agriculture.
“Our company is one of the largest manufacturers in the world. We are most competitive in poultry, broiler and pig production. The purpose of our visit is to understand which of these industries in the Primorsky Territory can be invested in. At the same time, we are focused not only on the local market, but also on export,” he said.
According to Alexander Kostenko, now the poultry industry in Primorye is open.
“Only a quarter of the poultry meat of the required volumes is produced in the region,” said Alexander Kostenko.
The deputy head of the region also suggested that partners consider investing in sugar and dairy farming.
