The Governor of Primorski krai Oleg Kozhemyako at a meeting of the Investment Council of the region said that only entrepreneurs who have specific projects and funds should conduct business and build new enterprises in the region.
As the head of the region noted, despite the impressive number of residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok and the territories of priority development, the region occupies low positions in the investment attractiveness rating of the regions of the Russian Federation.
“We need generate an employment, improve the quality of living standards of the population, reduce administrative barriers. Accordingly, the business that enters to our territory must meet the requirements. If we allocate land for the project, then the investor should have a planned program, and, most importantly, funds for its implementation. Otherwise, we will face the problem of unfinished and abandoned lands,” the head of the region said.
Oleg Kozhemyako noted the need to change the approach to the inclusion of new investors in the residents of Primorye.
The new approach, according to the Governor of the region, will improve the ratings of the region and allow only proven investors to enter the market.
The head of the region also drew attention to the development of the tourist business.
“Primorye has always been famous for beach holidays, but, as practice shows, most coastal areas are in desolation and do not meet the requirements. This needs to be fixed. It is important to stimulate a business that is ready to engage in the development of beach infrastructure, to provide for grant support. At the same time, the work of such enterprises should be controlled by the municipalities so that the beaches really meet all the requirements,” Oleg Kozhemyako said.
It was also proposed to create a special program for the creation of road infrastructure in beach areas.
