Foreign delegations continue to confirm their participation in the fifth Eastern Economic Forum which will be held in September on Russky Island. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Italian Republic Pasquale Terracciano spoke about the plans of representatives of Italy for the first time to visit the site of the EEF-2019.
During the meeting the Ambassador noted that Italy is considering the opportunity to visit the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok for the first time. The diplomat praised the quality and level of international events held in Russia, noting their role in the development of cooperation between the countries.
“International business forums have particular importance like a platform for high-level meetings. The forums act as a catalyst for the signing of important agreements,” Pasquale Terracciano said.
Recall the fifth Eastern Economic Forum will be held 4-6 September, 2019 in Vladivostok. The main theme of the EEF-2019 will be the National Program for the Development of the Far East. The first meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the fifth forum was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Yury Trutnev.
The Eastern Economic Forum was established by the Decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. More than six thousand delegates and more than 1.3 thousand media representatives from 60 foreign countries took part in the forum in 2018. The honorary guests of the EEF were the heads of four countries: Russia, China, Mongolia, Japan, as well as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea.
